RQ: What do the police think about us?

Methods: online research, newspaper research, focus groups

Findings:

• We know the police are there to protect us and many are great
• Attitudes vary in officers – reading articles backed this up
• Being moved on can be very stressful for children / young people
• Travellers have a bad reputation, but most are law abiding.
• Travellers have lots of names for the police – suggesting a long history of a bad relationship

Outcomes/Impact: The project tried but failed to engage the local police/NW Police to meet them and discuss their findings and opinions. Mood boards and posters were created by the group.
