RQ: Why can’t we have more choice in school uniform?

Methods: Online research, Plickers survey

Findings: Most schools had similar policies, with some being very specific, including photos of what is acceptable. The group felt that some schools were not enforcing the policies as they saw pupils breaching guidelines outside school.

Outcomes/Impact

The group were advised that they would not be allowed to ask other pupils their opinions, as the school was able to prove that results had improved since rigorously enforcing the uniform policy, and that the school had moved from Special Measures to having improved pupil intake due to perceptions about the improvement in the school.  It was felt that the survey was not appropriate as uniform had been a big part of the improvement of the school. The group were frustrated with the lack of change.
