Selected Research Question: What makes children feel safe/unsafe?

Methods: Questionnaire, years 3, 4, 4 and 6

Findings: over 90% felt safe at home and at school, over 70% in their neighbourhood but only 36% in the park. Around 30% of the reasons given for feeling unsafe were to do with other people’s behaviour.

Outcomes: recommendations for positive actions: competitions and awards for posters and recycling, shared with school.
