Selected Research Question: Do children want more cooking in school?
Methods: questionnaires, resource investigation
Findings: 93% of children wanted to do more cooking in school – at least once a month. 80% would attend an after school cooking club and 55% wanted this to include parents. They would need more equipment: cookers, tables and display dishes.
Outcomes: Request by research group to school for help to put their plans into effect: for more cooking in the curriculum, an after-school cooking club and fund-raising events to buy equipment and paint the walls. Audience: whole school assembly: 300 pupils, head teacher, 15 staff, 5 parents
