RQ: How can we improve Cynnydd Project Garden?

Methods: Online research and interviews

Findings:

Pupils prioritised ‘Equality’ as a central idea for their improvements to the garden:

• United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 2:
• Non discrimination. All children have the rights set out in the UNCRC, and individual children and young people shouldn’t be discriminated against when these rights are realised. This covers both direct and indirect discrimination.

Pupils brainstormed words that they could graffiti on the walls. They chose:

• Equality, Roots and Culture

Outcomes/Impact:

Pupils attended a graffiti workshop with an expert who helped them to design their graffiti art for the school garden.

Pupils fundraised to raise money to buy items for their garden such a shed, planters and flowers
