Created an iMovie on ‘Diabetes and you’… a child living with diabetes to raise awareness in the school and community. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgnsZhZJu70 . This video has been shared:
- At a school assembly with all staff, pupils and little voices pupils’ parents
- On the school website for parents and wider community http://bhvcprimary.com/little-voices/
- Children in Wales UNCRC 50th celebration event where organisations and schools from all over Wales attended.
- The local Town Council has agreed to help put the video in doctor’s surgeries.
While talking about rights the pupils collaborated with Amnesty International and The Open University to give their views on a Children’s Rights book for children.
The school continues to have a little Voices research group that will run alongside our eco committee, school council and Heddlu Bach projects. The Little Voices research group carried out an intergenerational project with our local care home, with participants from 8 to 102 years old, sharing knowledge and reflections on our local community across our lifetimes.
